I’m a visual artist based in Melbourne Australia.I am so stoked about being able to focus on creating art at this time of my life. Like many latent artists, I’ve come to it a bit later in life.

I work mainly in acrylic paint, ink, pencil, charcoal and digital media producing prints, paintings, drawings, collages, digital and a hybrid of digital and physical media.

Some of my work reflects my artistic beginnings in mosaics. I have made my own tesserae (tiles) out of paper which I create on my gel plates. I’m experimenting with paper tesserae on 3d objects.I have a particular love of representing the human face and form especially the older visage in some of my portraiture and printmaking.

I’m exploring more abstract and stylistic forms in in both printmaking and digital media.

’m a visual artist based in Melbourne, Australia. I am so stoked about finally being able to focus on creating art after a long career as a health professional, in corporate learning development and as a wife, mother and grandmother. Like many latent artists, I’ve come to it a bit later in life, and my experience has given me many subjects to draw upon. I work from my home studio in northern Melbourne, and participate regularly in local group exhibitions around the city. I’m involved in a number of artist groups, including Banyule Open Studios, where we invite the public to visit our studios for a weekend each year. Inspiration Much of my work is focused on the human form. I aim to capture the richness of internal life as it is revealed by body language and facial expression. I’m also a fan of science fiction and fantasy which shows in some of my more abstract pieces. My artistic beginnings are in mosaics. I now make decorative mosaic work with my own printed papers instead of ceramic and glass. Techniques I work mainly in acrylic paint, ink, pencil, charcoal and digital media producing paintings, drawings, collages and a hybrid of digital and physical media. My printmaking includes lino, intaglio and gelli plate. Technology has added incredible flexibility for the artist. I can move easily between physical and digital media. I can create an image on paper or canvas, embellish it in Procreate or Photoshop, then send it back to physical existence as a print. Career Highlights I have a Diploma in Visual Art in addition to my career qualifications. Apart from that, most of my artistic learning has been from short courses, other artists and online.
